    Announcement

Please take note of the following instructions for upgrading to Kubernetes version v1.33: Clusters with version v1.33 have a new deny-all NetworkPolicy in the kube-system namespace. If you have deployed anything to this namespace, this update may cause to break your deployment. Please keep in mind that we cannot figure out how you use managed namespaces, such as kube-system, metallb-system and firewall. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that no breaking changes will occur in these namespaces. Avoid using these namespaces and create your own instead (except for deploying ClusterwideNetworkPolicy resources to firewall, which is what we expect users to do).

We will now start rolling out cloud release v0.22.5.

    The update has succeeded.

    Changes include:

    • New Kubernetes versions are available: v1.33.9.

We will continue to verify the setup for the rest of the day. In case you encounter any issues please give feedback immediately.

We will now start rolling out cloud release v0.22.4.

We will now start rolling out cloud release v0.22.3.

    The update has succeeded.

    Changes include:

    • New Kubernetes versions are available: v1.33.7.

We will continue to verify the setup for the rest of the day. In case you encounter any issues please give feedback immediately.

We will now start rolling out cloud release v0.22.2.

    The update has succeeded.

    Changes include:

    • New Kubernetes versions are available: v1.32.11. Clusters with auto-update feature enabled will install patch versions automatically in the next maintenance window.

We will continue to verify the setup for the rest of the day. In case you encounter any issues please give feedback immediately.

There was a regression in the pre-release version of csi-driver-lvm v0.8.0.  By mistake, this version was already included in the latest helm chart on helm.metal-stack.io released on the 12th of December. In case you were using this version of the CSI driver already somewhere (manually deployed and not managed from our infrastructure), please upgrade to v0.8.1 immediately in order to prevent a scenario that can cause data loss. The helm chart was already updated to deploy the fixed version. Version v0.8.0 was withdrawn from the container registry to prevent further usage. For more information, read the v0.8.1 release notes.
